Working from Home Writing for Content Websites

Would you consider getting paid for working

from home writing articles for a content mill

websites? Would you mind getting paid

money less than what you think you deserve? I recently got sucked

into this business not quite long ago because I had an objective and I

did set the target for me. I wanted to quickly accumulate some

money to invest in another online business. I was undergoing

training for writing articles for content websites some for a while.

One of my articles was on the best affiliate Webhosting services and

the owner provided both the keywords and his links for posting. He

paid for writing and posting.

Then I decided to write keyword-based and search engine optimized

articles for content websites and get paid no matter the price.

What is a Content Mill Website

A content mill website is one where clients provide you with

topics to write articles on, or specific keywords which you should

use to write their articles. There are two types of content websites:

In the first type, the price of each article is fixed according to the

a predetermined number of words in the article. For instance, the

price of 150 or 300 words article will differ from that of 500, 700 or

1000 words. Well, that may not be news to you I guess. When you

complete the job and submit, if the requester approves it, your

the account is instantly credited with the specified amount fixed for the

article less the commission paid to website administrators.

If your article is rejected, the topic or keyword is automatically

returned to the writing pool for someone else to try and the reason

for rejecting the article is usually given.

Apart from giving you the number of words other information

provided by the requester may include the keyword density

where and how to arrange your headings and subheadings, whether

it should be written in American or U.K. English and so on.

The other type of content mill website is one where you bid for the

writing jobs and the number of bidders is usually high. If the owner

of the job finds you worthy by looking at your portfolio and your

qualification you get the job.

The problem with this is the ridiculously low prices which some

writers bid just to capture the job. It makes no sense because writing

is not an easy task. The moment you decide to write an article, the

the first problem that will confront you is the blank computer screen

staring at you while you battle to figure out how to commence

writing.

Here you have a keyword or a topic that you have to research on,

and then compose an article  making sure that every sentence is

grammatically correct. In the end, you are paid what one

an experienced writer called peanuts. Moreover in some cases, the

owner of the article cannot give you a recommendation which you

can refer to if you have other clients whom you may wish to

write for outside the platform where you are currently writing.

It becomes more difficult when the article you earlier submitted and

was accepted cannot be used as a reference by you as a portfolio

because you do not know the website where it is going to be

published. You have simply written the article as a ghostwriter.
